Joram Kraaijeveld has been working for nearly a decade with Platform BK, first as director and later as chairperson of the board. He is a producer, curator, lecturer and writer committed to strengthening the position of artists and the value of the arts in society. He contributed to the Labour Market Agenda 2021–2024, the Artist Fee Guideline, and the Fair Practice Code. For Platform BK, he co-authored the report Geen Stad Zonder Kunst with Bart Stuart on models of studio-building management in the Netherlands. He is also a committee member at CAWA. Joram steps down from the board of Platform BK due to his new professional role as Program Manager at Stichting DOEN.

Mia van den Bos joined Platform BK in 2022 following her graduation from the Dutch Art Institute with a thesis on the potentialities and limitations of the trade union model in the context of contemporary art. She brought in her knowledge and research interests that are rooted in working-class subjectivities, labour movement history, and a commitment to a renewed communist poetics and futurity. She recently returned to Australia, where she has begun a new role at the public library in the city centre and is working on a poetry manuscript.

Both their contributions have been invaluable and we’re grateful for all of them. We wish them all the best in their new endeavours.
