Platform BK welcomes both members and non-members to the annual meeting to learn about PBK’s vision and inspire art workers on the importance and urgency for unionisation. This year’s meeting will take place on Wednesday 3rd of June 2026, from 18:00 to 22:00 at the collectively-run artist studio Electric Shadows at Lauriergracht 116 – D2 in Amsterdam. For those who cannot attend physically, we will host a gathering online from 16:00 to 17:00.

Among many public events and overall activities, Platform BK sets up this meeting to reflect on last year’s activities, be informed on the ongoing and future plans of the association, as well as facilitate a space for feedback, questions and suggestions. Similar to last year, we open up the invitation to all independent art workers in the visual arts field in The Netherlands.

The program includes the presentation of last year’s annual report, 2026 year plan, as well as the nomination of new board members. In addition, Camille Sapara Barton will share how increasing our capacity for sensing and feeling through the body, ties into the broader mission and values of Platform BK. Camille will offer some guided embodiment practices to reduce stress and increase our capacity to be present with each other at the gathering so we can move towards embodying our solidarity. We start the event with a communal dinner offered on a donation basis for members of Platform BK, and for 10,- euros for non-members. Please RSVP by sending an email to kantoor@platformbk.nl before May 30^th, mentioning your dietary considerations if any.
