Platform BK knows that for many artists, affordable studio space is the basis of their artistic practice. That is why we are committed to reversing the trend that studios become more expensive, scarce and more temporary. In 2018, we organised an Eleven Cities Tour in which we offered councillors, aldermen and mayors from eleven different cities the manifesto ‘No city without art’. We will continue to identify bottlenecks and, together with various parties, look for ways to keep workshops affordable or to make them affordable.
