Meet up: What does this mean for the arts?

In light of the recent concerning election results, Platform BK invites you to a meeting at W139 in Amsterdam to discuss what these results could potentially mean for the arts. The purpose of this gathering is to collectively explore the potential impact of these results on the arts sector and strategize on how to respond effectively.

16/12/2023

Platform BK was founded over 10 years ago, launched within the W139, based on a sense of commonality and urgency to counteract planned cuts within the visual arts sector. Recognizing the significance of this moment, we believe it is essential to come together, fostering solidarity and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas to take unified action.
We aim to provide a platform for all those working within the field of visual arts to collaboratively devise strategies and strengthen partnerships. We encourage everyone with questions and concerns to voice them during this meeting. Additionally, we plan to introduce you to various organizations we collaborate with to develop collective strategies.

We will be joined by the co-founder of Platform BK, Rune Peitersen who gave a speech at W139 at Platform BK’s kick-off in 2012. This will allow us to look back at things that have changed and what tools we can re-deploy.
Additionally, we are pleased to welcome Thomas Drissen from De Creatieve Coalitie who will be available to address your inquiries related to government policy.

Join us on the 16th of December between 14h00-16h00 at W139 in Amsterdam for this important discussion.
The agenda includes a brief introduction by Platform BK and De Creatieve Coalitie, followed by an open forum for questions in both Dutch and English.
