Jesse van Winden (Dutch, 1986) is a curator-researcher at Jubilee. He graduated (cum laude) from the Free University of Amsterdam with a degree in Fine Arts, Media & Architecture. His dissertation 'Destabilising Critique: Personae in between self and enactment' (2014) offers a historically based theoretical framework of persona and a method to analyse persona performance, and was received with great appreciation. As a result, he presented new research into the artist's personality at various international conferences (Cleveland, Aarhus, Melbourne). From the end of 2012 until the beginning of 2016, Jesse was editor-in-chief of Kunstlicht, the oldest Dutch magazine for visual art, visual culture and architecture.
